Tiziano Ferro – Potremmo ritornare / We could come back

Potremmo Ritornare

E troppo, troppo, troppo, ancora

Ho passato tutto il giorno a ricordarti
Nella canzone che però non ascoltasti
Tanto lo so che con nessuno avrai più riso e pianto come con me
Lo so io ma anche te
Quasi 30 anni per amarci proprio troppo
La vita senza avvisare poi ci piovve addosso
Ridigli in faccia al tempo quando passa
Per favore ricordiamoglielo al mondo
Chi eravamo e che potremmo ritornare

Passo la vita sperando mi capiscano
Amici e amori affini prima che finiscano
E ancora sempre e solo
Io e te all’odio non sappiamo crederci

Ho passato tutto il giorno a ricordarti
Nella canzone che però non ascoltasti
Tanto lo so che con nessuno avrai più riso e pianto come con me
Lo so io ma anche te
Quasi 30 anni per amarci proprio troppo
La vita senza avvisare poi ci piovve addosso
Ridigli in faccia al tempo quando passa
Per favore ricordiamoglielo al mondo
Chi eravamo e che potremmo ritornare

Musica più forte, Che sfidi la morte
Accarezza questa mia ferita
Sfido la vita

Ho passato tutto il giorno a ricordarti
Nella canzone che però non ascoltasti
Tanto lo so che con nessuno avrai più riso e pianto come con me
Lo so io ma anche te
Quasi 30 anni per amarci proprio troppo
La vita senza avvisare poi ci piovve addosso
Diglielo in faccia a voce alta di ricordare
Quanto eravamo belli, e di aspettare
Perché potremmo ritornare

We Could Come Back

Every prayer is a promise to God
Which I have never forgotten about
My prayer didn’t
Or at least hasn’t yet, reached the road which I would have hoped for, forgiving you implies hating you
If I were to say I don’t know why I’d need to lie to you
And you know what I am like with telling lies…
Hmm, I really miss you
And too much, too much, too much, still

I’ve spent the entire day remembering you
Through the song that you never did listen to
Anyway I know that you will never laugh and cry with someone else like you did with me
I know it, but you know it too
Almost 30 years it has taken us to love each other far too much, Then life without warning rained on us
When the time passes, tell him and
Please remind the entire world
We were together and that we could come back again

I spend my life hoping that friends and crushes
Understand me before they go away
And yet always and only
The exact same road
I always choose the longest and most complicated
So why am I avoiding you instead of confronting you
And why do you look at me if you can have me back
Do you remember that 2013 taught us this
You and I don’t believe in hating

I’ve spent the entire day remembering you
Through the song that you never did listen to
Anyway I know that you will never laugh and cry with someone else like you did with me
I know it, but you know it too
Almost 30 years it has taken us to love each other far too much, Then life without warning rained on us
When the time passes, tell him and
Please remind the entire world
We were together and that we could come back

As stronger music, that defies death
Kiss my wound better
I defy life

I’ve spent the entire day remembering you
Through the song that you never did listen to
Anyway I know that you will never laugh and cry with someone else like you did with me
I know it, but you know it too
Almost 30 years it has taken us to love each other far too much, Then life without warning rained on us
When the time passes, tell him and
Please remind the entire world
We were together and that we could come back again

Elisa – Bruciare per Te / Burn for You (English Translation)

Come l’universo

Leggero come l’aria, come nuvole

Leggero come l’aria, come nuvole

Burn for You

Maybe not even I know what you mean to me
What it takes from me and what it gives
So much so that quite simply I am unable to see it in it’s entirety
Just like the universe

That state of euphoria, of confusion,
Yes, confusion when you find what you thought you had lost

And to burn for you
And to burn for you
And to burn for you
And to burn for you
And to burn for you

I would have never thought
That it would all be like this
Strong, so fragile, so difficult to resist
Light like air, just like the clouds
I would have never ever hoped for this
And yet it is all just like this
Strong, so fragile, difficult to resist
And together we write the pages

And imagine how funny it would be to understand
It all suddenly, then looking at you
For having changed me forever

Like the first day I had those flashes that you had on your face, suspended there from the curve of your smile

And to burn for you
And to burn for you
And to burn for you
And to burn for you
And to burn for you

I would have never though
That it would all be like this
Strong, so fragile, so difficult to resist
Light like air, just like the clouds
I would have never ever hoped for this
And yet it is all just like this
Strong, so fragile, difficult to resist
And together we write the pages

And to burn for you
And to burn for you
And to burn for you
And to burn for you
And to burn for you

Then maybe I will understand it all,
That I have given all of me, without asking for anything in return, nothing at all
Nothing that you don’t already have inside you

Laura Pausini Simili – Similar (English translation)

We love translating to/from English and Italian!

Here is our translation of Laura Pausini’s song, Simili.

Simili

Senza decidere

Ospite in casa mia
Con sillabe d’amore tutte al pavimento
Come la polvere

Ma arrivi tu che parli piano
E chiedi scusa se ci assomigliamo
Arrivi tu da che pianeta?
Occhi sereni, anima complicata
Anima complicata

Io cosi simile a te
A trasformare il suono della rabbia
Io cosi simile a te
Un bacio in fronte e dopo sulle labbra

Pronto a soccorrere

Me lo ricordi tu
Chi vola impara a sfottere le sue cadute
Come a difenderle

E cosi fai tu e nascondi piano
Arrivi tu
Che sai chi sono

Io cosi simile a te
A trasformare il suono della rabbia
Io cosi simile a te
Un bacio in fronte e dopo sulle labbra
La meraviglia di essere simili
La tenerezza di essere simili

Arrivi tu che fai passare
La paura di precipitare

Io cosi simile a te
Liberi e prigionieri della stessa gabbia
Io cosi simile a te
Un bacio in fronte e dopo sulle labbra
La meraviglia di essere simili
La tenerezza di essere simili
La commozione per essere simili, ah ah

Similar

I ran away
When I found myself inside a labyrinth
Without knowing

Guests at home
With syllables of love all over the floor
Just like dust

But then you come along speaking calmly
And apologising for being similar to each other
You come along, from which planet?
Peaceful eyes, complicated soul
Complicated soul

I’m so similar to you
In that we make sound from anger
I’m so similar to you
A kiss on the forehead and then on the lips
The magnificence of being similar
The endearment of being similar
The protection of being similar

I don’t ask myself anymore
If there’ll be someone who’ll have my back
Ready to come to my rescue

You remind me that
He who flies, learns to get up when he falls
How to defend himself

And you do this too and you delicately hide
Your cough and heart in the same hand
You come along
Because you know who I am

I’m so similar to you
In that we make sound from anger
I’m so similar to you
A kiss on the forehead and then on the lips
The magnificence of being similar
The endearment of being similar

You come along and you make
the fear of failing dissipate

I’m so similar to you
Free and locked up in the same cage
I’m so similar to you
A kiss on the forehead and then on the lips
The magnificence of being similar
The endearment of being similar
The sentiment for being similar, ah ah

Websites: indispensable marketing tools for start-ups

The number of start-up businesses and established small enterprises that have very little or no web presence at all is quite remarkable.

In this modern, virtual-driven society we live in, can businesses really afford to exist offline only?

Websites: indispensable marketing tools for start-upsA staggering 59% of small businesses do not have any web presence at all and even more alarming is the 61% who have been operating for three years or more without a website (GoDaddy & Redshift Research 2015).

According to research undertaken by GoDaddy & Redshift, 38% of those businesses that do not have a website claimed that their operation was far too small to warrant one; 21% admitted they shied away due to a lack of technical expertise, while 20% felt the cost of running a website was too high.

Let’s tackle these one-by-one.

1. The world-wide-web

The world really is your oyster. A website that has been properly optimised has the capability of reaching out to an extraordinary number of people, well beyond the confines of the city from which the business is trading.

A website is a comparatively low cost, but effective marketing  tool, offering huge exposure to a business’ activity. Drumming up support and interest in your business or product will give it more credibility and weighting, which is key to securing clients, increasing sales and becoming more profitable.

Setting up social media pages is equally as important and goes hand-in-hand with creating your website. The way people interact with businesses and each other has completely evolved and social media is an expected channel for communication.

Many more people are also choosing to shop online. According to the Office for National Statistics, the income from online sales in the UK increased by 77% from 2008 – 2014 and that trend is set to increase.

No matter how large or small your business is, exposure is priceless. A well optimised website is the starting block upon which to build your customer base and getting your name and services out there. And what is there to lose? Absolutely nothing. Get out there and be found!

2. Content management is manageable

You don’t have to have a degree in computer science to be able to edit a website. There are many manageable solutions out there, like WordPress and Joomla. These examples are content management systems and they make editing websites simple and straight forward.

You can ask a designer to set up the templates of your content management website, as well as creating all your static pages, then it’s up to you to, well, manage the content.

You can easily drag-and-drop the elements you require on to the page, such as an image or text and then manipulate them how you wish.

In short, get someone to do the messy jobs, while you take care of updating your blog or news page.

3. You get what you put in

There is a cost associated with websites. You have your upfront costs of getting it designed by someone (unless you wish to do it yourself, in which case the cost is your time) and then you have the reoccurring, yearly charges for your domain name (your online address) and your hosting (the space you rent on the internet to store your website).

Investing a small amount of money in a website will certainly be worth it if you are attracting new clients and making sales.

Shoppers are savvy. They do their research. If you’re not online, you will get overlooked. Don’t miss an opportunity to make that sale, establish your virtual presence, or get left behind.
